DofE Gold Residential Week
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Residential (based at Craigower Lodge Outdoor Centre in Newtonmore) provide an exciting and fulfilling experience. You may want to try something completely new (or develop your experience) by learning to ski during one of our Snowsports Residentials in February. Or, why not join us for a Multi Activity Residential which includes a selection of fantastic outdoor adventure activities, such as white water rafting, rock climbing and canyoning?
Self-catered accommodation is provided in shared dorm rooms. Participants will have access to a shared kitchen with oven, hobs, microwave, fridge, freezer, utensils, crockery and cutlery. There is a supermarket only a short walk (five minutes) from the centre, where provisions can be picked up for the week. Bedding is provided, but towels and toiletries are not. The centre has a drying room so any wet kit and clothing can be dried overnight, ready for another day of adventure! The residentials start at 13:00 on day 1 at Craigower Lodge Outdoor Centre in Newtonmore, and finishes back in Newtonmore at 16:00 on the final day (14:30 for the Snowsport Residentials).
