Cairngorm Mountain Adventure
Cairngorm Mountain Adventure
Lace up your boots for an iconic trip in the Cairngorms with this guided walk and scramble . We start with an exciting scramble on the narrow Fiacall Ridge. From the top, you will make your way to the summit of Ben Macdui, the second highest mountain in the UK. Take in the spectacular 360 degree views of the Cairngorms Mountain Range before heading down into the Northern Corries. This stunning landscape was carved by glaciers and a very popular spot for winter climbing.
This trip really has it all- excitement and challenge, mountain vistas and you may even spot the Am Fear Liath Mor (the Big Grey Man of Ben Macdhui). Some say that he is a yeti, others say he is a brocken spectre (a natural phenomenon).
Grade and Experience
This trip is fairly challenging and a good level of fitness is required. The scramble grade can vary from a steep walk to a moderate scramble. The use of a rope may be required on very short sections but these can be avoided if necessary. In windy conditions it can become more challenging.
*In bad weather some routes may have to be re-directed for the safety and well being of the group.
