Active offer sea kayaking day tours and expeditions throughout the North West coast & Highlands as well as the Moray Firth. You will discover some of Scotland’s most remote places, steeped in beauty, history and tradition.

Is it for me?

Most trips offer unforgettable encounters with nature, sightings of seals, dolphins, whales, Puffins and sea eagles are not unusual. Our day tours are a great introduction to sea kayaking and hopefully leave you inspired to join one of our sea kayaking adventure holidays. The trips are led by our fully trained instructors and all equipment is supplied. No prior experience is required as coaching will be offered on the go.

Most sea kayaking trips on the Moray Coastline are in small groups of less than 6 people or private trips for 1 to 4 people. Please call us or complete an enquiry form for more information or book online.

Activity Information
The meeting point for sea kayaking on the Moray Coast is Rosemarkie Bay.  All technical & safety equipment is provided. Heading out onto the coast is dependent on the sea / weather conditions.  If a sea journey is not appropriate, a suitable coastal or inland loch will be chosen instead.
What to bring?
Towel, trainers you don’t mind getting wet, a dry pair for afterwards, lunch, snacks and drinks, swimwear.

You can tie your trip in to staying at the Cairngorms Adventure centre in Newtonmore.
